Some Mommy and B Monkey Time

Today while G Monkey was at school, B Monkey and I went to a local park and met up with some friends. Now I know it doesn't snow here and it's had to believe that we do get cold spells. Well this morning it was 48 degrees when we took G Monkey to school. I just cut B Monkey's hair so I put his tuke on his head. He looks so cute. I did take it off once it warmed up at the park but I had to share some pictures of my little guy. :)

Walking In My Shoes....

Well B Monkey is enjoying trying on all types of shoes. From Mommy's shoes to Daddy's shoes, even Brooke's. Well I was able to catch him the other day with my shoes on. He does a great job walking in them.

G Monkey's First Thanksgiving/Christmas Pagent

Well G Monkey had her first school performance just before Thanksgiving. We were joined by her Grandpa and Auntie H. That was very exciting for G Monkey to have Grandpa come and Auntie H. G Monkey was quite the hit and looked as if she had her own fan club. With 2 video cameras and a camera following her. We were so excited to hear her sing and she did such a good job. One song that we loved was I'm glad I'm not a turkey.

I am Thankful!

Oh Tuesday nights I take G Monkey to AWANA's at our church. This last Tuesday we celebrated Thanksgiving since next week we will be off. Well all the Cubbies (this is the club G Monkey is in) were asked to fill out a sheet of paper that said "I am Thankful". Of course the Cubbie Leaders helped the group fill out the paper. Here is what G Monkey is Thankful for. I didn't alter the order in which she said all of these they are in the exact order in which she said the list. I know cause I was listening when she made her list. :)
1. God
2. Mom and Dad
3. Flowers
4. Kids (I'm guessing she's including B Monkey in this)
5. Scarecrows
6. Plants
7. Pokie things. (We aren't sure what this is)

Now I know what we are teaching her by loving God first is sinking in. It just melted my heart when I heard her make her list. She is only 4 years old and put God before all things. Also she was the only kid in her club who even mentioned God. I'm so proud of my little monkey.

The next Basketball Star

A while back B Monkey got a gc to toys r us. Thank you AJ and US. Well I was able to get this basketball set up for B Monkey. We finally had a chance to put it together today. Boy did he have fun with this. Just check out the photos.

Arts and Crafts - Thanksgiving

Okay so the this is a fault of having a mom who remembers arts and crafts from when she was a child. I did get some help with the apple turkey, as far as what we used. But the foot turkey is my own. The Apple turkey is B Monkey's and the foot turkey is G Monkey's. G Monkey made her apple turkey tonight and I haven't had a chance to upload the pictures yet.

G Monkey's Birthday

We celebrated G Monkey's birthday with a few friends and family. One of her gifts was an easel with paper, chalk, and pens. One day G Monkey wanted to use the chalkboard side, this is her creation. No one helped her draw at all. We just looked up when she said she was done. What an artist G Monkey can be when she want to be. :)

Halloween

Well for Halloween we went to our Church's Harvest Festival. That night we had some friends from church join us for dinner before going over to church. The kids had a blast having friends over for dinner and then to go out with. B-Monkey and I did some errands in the morning and then picked G-Monkey up from school. This is what I found when I checked on B-Monkey that day during nap time. Poor guy. I guess he just couldn't decided what he wanted to do. I did put him back in his bed and cover him up. He slept through the entire thing.

Then we had are friends over for dinner and wondered over to the festival. This picture is of all the family at the end of the evening. B-Monkey walked away with lots of candy. G-Monkey didn't walk away with much candy cause she choose to spend her time on the blow up slide. :)


We then went home and got ready for the next day of fun and excitement.

Okay I know I've flaked a bit with blogging. We have just been so busy, that by the time I get a break the last think I really think about doing is blogging. So tonight I will try and catch you all up with what we've been doing. For starters like my new playlist? Oh the good old days when we didn't have to do much but try and be good.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY G MONKEY

Well it's been 4 years today that G Monkey has made us laugh until our sides hurt. She is such a joy to be around. We are so thankful to God for the gift he's given us in G Monkey. I hope you have a wonderful Birthday today and a fun party on Saturday. We love you Sweetie.

4 years today was Induction Day

Well I thought I'd post a little about 4 years ago. Today four years ago I was induced with our first child. B Monkey... We thought going to the hospital wow were going to be parents today. HAHAHA. B Monkey waited intil tomorrow to be born at 5:31am.

While driving to the hospital we pondered what will she look like do we have the right name, did we want to change the name, and then there was the what it the ultra sounds and doctor's were wrong and were having a boy. So we went through listing out boys names not coming up with any in agreement, but we did think about some. Then we got to the hospital and they started the process of induction. I was told not to eat but because of my gestational diabetes I was in deed aloud to eat breakfast since my blood sugar was low. But then no food for 24 hours, only ice chips. Stay tuned tomorrow I'll follow up. Wow 4 years sure has flown by....

Our Familytime. GLOW STICKS

So last night I came up with the idea that it was time to use those 1.00 glow sticks from Target. We got 4 glow sticks with strings for a dollar in the 1.00 section of Target. How fun is that. Well last night I got them out. We turned off all the lights in the house, and snapped those things on. B and G Monkey had so much fun. Mommy and Daddy had fun too. We'd chase the kids around hide from them, and let them hide. We had some fun. Mommy even managed to swing one glow stick and watch it get a way from her as I was telling G Monkey don't let it go as your swinging it around. Glad it only hit the door and that it did not break open when it hit the door. Main point was we all had fun playing with those things. Here are some pictures of the kids playing with them. Oh just to note B Monkey had a shirt on that would light up when you moved....

Here Comes the Flower Girl

So last night I had G Monkey try on the flower dress she's wearing for Auntie Steph's wedding. Well I need to have had her try it on two weeks ago. Now I am stuck fixing the darn thing. It's my own fault. I thought little miss G Monkey would grown into the size 4. Heck she's a 5/6 in most shirts. But for this dress it's a bit low cut. So I have to raise the neckline. I will do my best just don't really look at it really closely next Saturday... Now I'm wondering what kind of shoes I'll find for her to wear? Okay wish me great success on this adventure oh and Don't call on Sunday, that's when I'm doing the alterations on the dress...

Pumpkin Patch

Well this year it was just B Monkey and I at the pumpkin patch. G Monkey was at school. So I will need to take her out one of these days so she can get her pumpkin. So our MOPS group had the playdate at the pumpkin patch. It was a small patch and they had lots of gants. So it did bother B Monkey and his friends. But we made due and had a great time anyways. I just realized that I did not get a picture of B monkey with his pumpkin but I will. Just so you know I have a unique little Monkey, he choose an albino pumpkin. Didn't want anything to do with the Orange ones. So I will post some pictures. Some of the pictures didn't turn out cause the kids were swiping away the gnats and the end result when I finished taking the picture one kid or more looked like they were picking there nose, or jabbing their eyes with their fingers. So I choose not to post those pictures.

Okay Ladies and Gentlemen,
So I include the gentlemen cause I don't know that any guy is reading this blog and if you are reading "show yourselves".... Okay so B and G Monkeys are in their cousin's wedding at the end of October. Both are getting excited about it. I only hope that things go well. Anyways, I needed to take B Monkey in to be fitted for his tux. G Monkey already has her dress, I will try it on her later and post pictures. So since I haven't posted any special pictures of B Monkey lately I thought I would post some pictures of him at the tux shop. Just so you all know B Monkey was so excited I couldn't keep him still to take any really good shots, those will have to wait until the wedding day. Happy Birthday Old Man ALI

Okay So tomorrow is my Sister's boyfriends birthday and he's turning 40. Now I know to some it might not seem old. But for me who thought he was younger. I know need to call him Old Man Ali for some odd reason. I'm sure it will only last for a little while but until then. You will just have to let it be. :) HAPPY 40th BIRTHDAY ALI!!!! LOVE all us Monkey's.

Today is the day. Our G- Monkey started School

Well today began with many changes in this house. Our little G-Monkey started preschool. I know where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday she was learning football signs and learning to walk. Well not to be out done B-Monkey started another year at MOPPETS. Some of B-Monkey's old Sunday school teachers are in MOPS now and just marvel at how he's grown. He's not the same little boy. If I have some time later I'll do side by sides of the Monkeys from birth to today.
Okay back to the big event of the day. G-Monkey and preschool. So I of course took pictures of her eating her nutrious breakfast of eggs. :) Then of her in her first day of school outfit with her goodies for the first day of school.
What can I say she loves school.... She walked in and was like okay bye Mommy. I gave her a hug and a kiss, had her say bye to B-Monkey and she left us. B-Monkey of course chased her down, and I had to pick him up and take him crying out of the room. Poor kid. Then he kept crying and sniffiling G-Monkey's name. When we were ready to leave MOPS he said car G-Monkey's name. Meaning he wanted to go get G-Monkey. You've never seen a kid so happy to see his sister. She was like oh hi. Now let me be, I'm playing. I had to chase her down to leave. WOW. Well I'll post the pictures and look for more adventures of G-Monkey being in School now. I'm sure I will have plenty to say!

New Beds

Okay so we didn't really cage our Monkey's for long. We were breaking down the crib for Auntie A, and B Monkey was getting a toddler bed and G Monkey was getting a big girl bed. Thankfully both Monkeys did great last night. The first night in there big kid beds. Below are the pictures. Of the Monkey's in their new beds. As you can tell both are extatic and yes G Monkey did pick out that bed set herself.

It's been a while Sorry

I know it's been a while. I have been so busy with the two Monkey's and my other responsibilities as a MOPS Mom, and Wife that it's been hard to blog... As it is I should be doing the dishes and getting ready for another BBQ but I'm sitting here trying to make a blog entry. I am now the one man team for our MOPS publicity team. I wanted a challenge and boy do I have one. It's a good thing I'm learning new programs and how to do some creative projects. It's just I'm finding I have really bad time management and I've got soo much to do I need to do a better job in this area. Okay I will try and send a picture of the kids but for now this will have to do. Hope you all have a wonderful weekend. Enjoy!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY B MONKEY!

Today is B Monkey's Birthday! He's 2 years old today, where has the time gone. I was just telling Daddy Monkey, last night it seems like the last two years flew by. My little man is growing up. G Monkey doesn't like that it's B Monkey's birthday. How do I know, well she asked if we could change the birthday theme to Cinderella, and she's asking if she can blow out B Monkey's candle and open his gifts. Hhhmm sounds like it would then be her birthday! Oh wait that's what she wants. I will post pictures later of B Monkey and his friends partying down today. So far we've had a special birthday breakfast for him. For a kid that has been fussy about eating he sure scarfed (is that word) down those special pancakes. (Special means - some extra sugar and vanilla in the mix). Okay check back later for pictures. I need to go finish everything before B Monkey's friends get here.

I'm giving you love

G Monkey loves giving us kisses. The other day she said I'm going to give you a kiss, and she kissed me. I said thank you, and asked why (she did this out of the blue) G Monkey replied I'm giving you love.

Wash Hands

Okay so I just made Karen's salsa with jalapenos. But I forgot to wash my hands after touching the jalapeno. So then my eye felt like something was in it. AND what did I do placed my hand that touched the jalapeno, and seeds right to my eye. I can still feel the burning. I just pray I don't have to go to urgent care.

Shoes

Okay so B Monkey LOVES his new summer sandals. Thing is I'm not sure he'll fit in them the whole summer. So if any of you are going to Target and see these shoes in a size 8 (they are in clearance now) Let me know or buy them and send them I'll pay you back. I know the pictures are blurry but you can still see what the shoe looks like. It was either be blurry or washed out. I choose Blurry. :)

Swim Lessons with B Monkey

First I have no pictures so you will just have to picture this all in your heads. Yesterday we started swim lessons for B Money. Now B Monkey loves the water between the two kids. Only yesterday you would have thought I had G Monkey with me in the water. Screaming and crying and holding on for dear life. The class is only 35 mins for two weeks M-Th. So we have 7 classes left. It was only when it's was about time to leave that B Monkey was happy to play in the water, and that is all we really do. Is play in the water. We do learn some things but the class is really just to get your child use to the water. I will try and take a picture of B Monkey ready for swim class one of these days but I can't promise to have one. I'll also let you know how the swim lessons are doing later in the week.

It's HOT

So it's going into the weekend Summer started at like 12:00 pm today. Well it's come in with a bang! It's 4:15pm here and you know what it's 101.7 in the shade!!! I think we need to consider breaking down and buying a whole house ac. The heat isn't going to cool down anytime soon so we will see what happens. So I'm not sure what the highest temp will be this weekend but maybe I'll post later and let you all know. I think the pool is in the future for the kids this weekend or at least running in the sprinklers. Hope you all stay cool and for those with AC's in their house :P .

It's only been 5 days

So I've been told I'm not posting enough. Sorry but we've been busy and it's been really hot out here. We've been setting records left and right. Not to mention that it's been HOT but it's also MUGGY. So the monkey's rooms feel like saunas. Poor little Monkeys. Like I said this week has been pretty busy. Monday we had a graduation to go to. Our friend's older brother graduated from elementary school. That was fun to see the graduation. It was the first time we'd gone to a 5th grade graduation. Congratulations N Monkey!!!! Then on Tuesday we went to our friends house for lunch. Then Wednesday we went to the zoo with some other friends which I discovered our little G Monkey is getting bored of the zoo. She gives the animals the "Clark" and says lets see more animals Mama. If you don't know what the "Clark" is you need to watch National Lampoons Vacation movies. Today we went looking for flower girl dresses and checked in with the tux shop to know when to get B Monkey fitted for his Monkey suit. We found a great dress for G Monkey. They are both excited to be in the wedding. Okay so that is it for now. As you can see we are pretty busy these days. One of these days we will need to just stay home so Mama can clean up.... I'd post a picture but don't know which to post. Don't have any from this weeks events.

Home Depot

I should have posted this before talking about my birthday but I hadn't gotten the pictures uploaded yet. So now I'm posting them. My friend mentioned to me a while ago that Home Depot has projects for kids to do the 1st Saturday of each month. Well I decided to venture out with both kids, and give Daddy a morning off.

So off we went to Home Depot. I was told it gets busy so get there early, that we did. We got there early and since we were really early I went a head and filled up our little gas guzzler at our favorite gas station COSTCO. Then we went over to Home Depot and I and the two monkeys ventured out to start our project. We made boats, the kids had a great time using hammers, nails and glue. I was a bit nervous but my hands came out just fine. It was hard to pry the hammer out of Bryce's hands but we all survived. Below are the pictures. My friend hasn't send me the pictures she took so these are just from our backyard. I will post the others once I get them from my friend.
