Not to be out done.

Here is a video of B Monkey singing. Not to be out done by his sister. :)

Mini Vacation con't again.

Okay so if you are just reading now. Go down two more entries and start there. Now random pictures from our mini vacation. They were taken mostly by me but Daddy Monkey took a few.Daddy Monkey with G and B Monkey

B Monkey looking at the waves.
G Monkey looking at the water she's so cute.
B Monkey enjoying the water. Look at that smile! Now that's a picture of a kid that is having fun.

Here's G Monkey playing in the sand which she could have done all weekend. Just a side note. See the tent behind G Monkey? Well when we had "high tide" the water almost went into their tent. We were not that far from the water.

Mini Vacation con't

The weather was nice a bit windy one day but not too bad. The monkeys had so much fun playing in the water as exhibited in the videos and pictures below. When it was time to clean up we took a bottle filled it with warm water and rinsed our Monkey's off. I was really glad we had the trailer with us. Several Mom's I talked to wished they had a trailer too. G Monkey I think would have played in the water 24/7 if we'd let her. The second day we were there we were told by life guards not to go in to the water there had been a white shark siting. So you didn't need to tell us twice. Kids eventually got to play in the water but not too much. :)

So this is G Monkey loving the water.

This is B Monkey with the water. Yes he liked it. See next picture.
See they have smiles on there faces. Now when we went to clean them with the warm water they weren't too happy. You can't win them all can you?

Mini Vacation

This last weekend was our Mini Vacation. I say mini cause we only drove about an hour north to the beach. We went with about 30 other families give or take a few. G Monkey's School had a camp out, on the beach!! Oh how fun that was even though I was sick. It was still fun. Hope we can do it again when I'm not sick. The kids had so much fun playing with their friends. Each site had 3 families on it. So we had two other families on our site with our trailer. :) B Monkey and G Monkey's favorite buddy C Monkey's family were sharing with us the site we were on and then another family too, though I don't remember their names. Here is a picture of our site for two angles. Pictures 1. Our camp site from across the street. Not very big. 2. Campsite from the street where it begin. It's not that big really you can see. 3. The backside of the campsite. Our friends tent.

Update on Mama and B Monkey

Well I ended up going to the doctor's and was put on medication. But the kicker is while we were on our mini vaca, B Monkey and I came down with Tonsillitis. We are on the mend now but boy the last few days were terrible!!

Mama is sick....

I've succumbed to my kids colds. Yup they've finally gotten. Only we don't know what it is I have. I'm on antibiotics, medication for a cough, and an inhaler. They are convinced that I have Asthma but I was told by a specialist that I don't? Go figure. I guess I will deal with that later. Right now I need to get better before I get worse and end up in the hospital again. Maybe this weekend I'll get some time to relax. Mini Vacation....

APRIL 15th!!!!

In honor of my Sister who happens to work for a CPA Firm.

DON'T FORGET TO TURN YOUR TAXES IN TODAY!!!
The kids and I went and dropped ours off earlier today.

Apirl's playdate! Egg Hunt anyone?

Well we had our April playdate this month and G monkey got to come along since she was on Spring Break from school.

We went to a local park with our MOPS group and let the eggs loose and the kids soon after. Both kids had a great time as you can see from the pictures. They made out like bandits too. Even after we shared some of their stash. The first picture is of G Monkey and B Monkey's bounty from the egg hunt. Not too bad this year. They sure learned from last year.
B Monkey (Love the smile on him) and Little M Monkey
Waiting for the egg hunt to begin

These three wanted to make sure to be in the front of the line. G Monkey, C Monkey and Big M Monkey. They know how to work the system don't they. :)

Here's G Monkey counting her eggs.

American Idol One Day???

So one day we were taking a day trip to the desert. We do this a lot during the right time of year. So G Monkey had a new cd we were playing for her. I then heard her singing along and thought oh I gotta get this on camera for future fun. So what do you think will she try for American Idol one day? You be the judge!

Playdate at Pat and Oscars

I think it was last month's play date we went to Pat and Oscars. There are some benefits for the younger kids. While G Monkey was at school for the morning, B monkey and I were able to attend a MOPS playdate at Pat and Oscars. This was one of my favorite playdates. Very interactive and enjoyable. B Monkey had a blast too which is always a bonus since he seems to like being fussy these days.

The first picture is of us getting ready. Then there is B monkey getting his hair net on. Gotta go by the books here. Were showing the kids what jobs they could get during high school... I think he liked the hair net. When it comes to food my monkey takes it seriously. See his face in the next picture? Finally the part the kids were waiting for. It's time to EAT!!!!

We were able to take a back stage look at the kitchen as well. That was fun. So B Monkey now has experience in working at a pizza place. That should look good on his resume one day right?

AWANA

I've talked about our AWANA group before so I thought I'd take a few pictures and post them. G Monkey is in her last year of Cubbies. Next year she will move up to Sparks. She loves her teachers and always has fun in Cubbies. Sometimes too much fun and it's hard to calm her down once we get home. Which when we get home it's bed time. Here are some pictures of our Club.

The pictures are of singing time and story time before group time.

It's been a while

Sorry for not posting as much as I'd like. It's just been really busy here and my desire to blog has been little of late. Trying to find some time to blog and with so much going on to blog about, where do I start. Next week is G Monkey's spring break from school. So I will hopefully have time to blog about specific things again. Just a short update on things. My Dad passed away a month ago. It has really been hard to deal with. The Monkey's didn't understand at first what happened but then we talked with G Monkey and she now understands. While she doesn't understand how to be subtle about things she is doing better. It hurt quite a bit when she'd say "Your Dad's Dead huh". I've learned to deal with that, and say yes honey your right he's not with us any more. B Monkey doesn't really understand what's going on but G Monkey is doing a great job reminding him that Grandpa is up in Heaven with Jesus!! They're talking. That warms my heart because she does it very nicely and tries to comfort B Monkey. I have my good days and my bad days. Going through things is difficult no matter how much you try and prepare yourself, you never really do. I have lots of things to say but not sure I have the right words to express myself so I'll have to work on that. Easter is coming soon. Our family decided a couple years ago that we would spend that day just with My Dad and sister(s) who were in town. This year we will be spending it with my Sister and her family that is local, and I know it will be a very hard day. The first Holiday with out Dad. I'll make sure to have the Kleenex with me or readily available. Cause even thinking about it brings tears to my eyes right now. Maybe one day the pain wont hurt as bad. But with both parents gone orphan comes to mind. I know I'm not. It's hard to explain really but there are holes in your heart and for me even though I know I have family I still feel like an orphan. That will take time to heal I am sure.

I promise the next post wont be so dark.
