The Nutcracker

Wiggles was in one of the local performances of The Nutcracker. She was one of the mice, and did an awesome job if I do say so myself.  Here are the few pictures I have.  Sorry if they are blurry, we were not aloud to use the flash on our cameras and in all seriousness we were not to take pictures or video at all.  It is a big distraction if your taking pictures of the dancers while they are dancing.
It seems like only a few were paying attention to the professional photographer.
This is a great picture of the mice that Wiggles was apart of. Wiggles is the second from the left.
Almost all of the cast was present when the picture was taken.
Thanks to a friend I was able to get this picture of Wiggles with her flowers.  This was the end of the performance.  Which she did an amazing job!!

Family Photos

The last time we got family photos Wiggles was only a few months old.  We've never gotten them since, and so much has changed since getting them. Since joining a MOPS group we've had several chances to get them, we just haven't.  The timing was never right.  As it was the timing wasn't great but we managed to pull it together at the last minute and the pictures came out great if I can say that.
Daddy and his two favorite kids.
Me and my favorite little girl. Isn't she just adorable.
Daddy and his little princess.
Daddy and his little buddy
Me and my little Man.
We did have a great time doing the pictures and after seeing what a great job our photographer did I don't know why we didn't do this earlier other then the timing wasn't right.  I am so happy with the pictures we got, these are not all of them either.  Just the ones we choose.  I still might go back and get the others.

Merry Christmas: Take 1 Nani and Papa's

Merry Christmas to everyone.  We started celebrating Christmas this last weekend. We traveled up to Nani and Papa's house to celebrate with Daddy's parents and his siblings and their families.  It was a quick visit this time since Wiggles had to be back home to make practice for the Nutcracker she is in.  We made it to practice right on time too.
Here is Nani and Wiggles playing the piano together, what fun they both have playing the piano together.
Here is Monkey and Nani playing the harp, with Wiggles trying to get in on the action too.
Auntie Susan with Monkey, waiting around to open presents.
Papa and the newest Grand baby. Though she's not such a baby now. So cute!
Trying to get four kids and a dog to look at 4 or so cameras is really hard to do. This is the best shot I got.  How about everyone else? Did you get a better one if you did can you email it to me please!
Wiggles got a special present from Nani and Papa, a Nutcracker of her very own.  She loves all she got but she did want to sleep with it and she held it just like the ballerina does for the Nutcracker.  Just like a baby doll.  Oh it was so cute to see.  The nutcracker is now on her dresser.

Christmas Lights

I know it's hard to tell but we do have lights on our house. Wiggles loves to decorate.  She especially loves decorating for the seasons or specific holidays.  So We decided to put lights on the house this year.  I was able with the use of my 4 Runner (cough, cough don't try this) put the lights on the house myself.  It was just me a ladder and the 4Runner.  I only used the car for one part that I could not reach with just the ladder.  I didn't crawl on the roof to finish either.  Which Daddy was very happy I didn't do, he wasn't happy I used the car as a ladder either.  Hey I'm short and impatient to wait for a taller husband to come home.  I like to think I  was creative when putting on the house lights.

Anyways after Monkey's performance, we went out to dinner and then on to a local community that has the neighborhood light up their homes.  Here we are walking around looking at all the houses.

One of my favorites the family recreates the scene from the movie A Christmas Story where the kid sticks his on the flag pole. You can't see it but they have the lamp in the window too. :)
This was a new one this year, and brought tears to my eyes. With lots of friends in the military totally got it.
We saw a dragon who wanted to wish us a Merry Christmas.
The three pictures above are two of our favorite houses.  They have trains in their front yards.  If I'd let them the three of them would have stayed there all night long.
Monkey loves Curious George. So much he got so excited and squealed when he saw this house.
Of course we had to take this picture seeing as how it's Star Wars.
This has become a family tradition now to go over this neighborhood and walk around and see all the houses decorated with lights.  Maybe next year you can come along.

Christmas Pageant for Preschool

We went last Sunday to Monkey's Preschool Christmas Program.  While waiting for it to start, The music teacher came up to us and asked if Wiggles could help her and sing while we waited. :)  We of course said yes and practically pushed Wiggles out of her chair.  She did an amazing job singing and she received lots of compliments.  Wiggles of course was quite nervous but survived.
The cast.  There's is our little Wise man in the blue on the right side.  So so cute!!

After the show he got a juice box and cookie for such a good job.

Deck The Halls With Boughs of Holly?

So we got back from Thanksgiving and started decorating for Christmas.  Well I started to get things down.  We  decided to go with the faux Christmas Tree.  It's pre-lit though after this year it might not be lit next year.  It seems that 6 years and the lights are gone.  We managed to hide the side with lights out and from where I sit right now you can't even tell.  We have been so busy this Christmas season that December seems to be running by us sadly.  I love this time of year when we decorate the house (this year in and out), and the kids get all excited listening to the Chipmunks since Christmas Caroles.
Here's Wiggles putting on some ornaments.
The ornament table.  This is were the kids could pick up the ornament and then put it on the tree.
Monkey's ornament for this year: Darth Vader.  Are you surprised?  Hope not it wasn't a surprise here.
Here he is getting ready to put Vader on the tree.
Here's Dad getting into the act.

Thanksgiving at the Desert!

Our family tradition is to camp at Thanksgiving.  So I guess it wouldn't be Thanksgiving unless we were camping and were else would we camp but in the desert for Thanksgiving.
Just relaxing and having fun.  Playing a little football and throwing the ball for the dog.

Monkey practicing for quarter back one day.  Maybe.
The Hail Mary throw.  Not too bad.  You know football is big in this family.
The Men in the group went to the local Mexican restaurant to watch said football game too.
Most of the family in the picture.
