The Easter Bunny showed up at Wiggles School....

The Easter Bunny showed up at Wiggles School on Thursday.  I was rather surprised that he would come, but he did.  Wiggles Teacher was so kind in inviting Monkey to join them as they went to say hi.  Of course Monkey wanted nothing to do with it.  Another teacher said oh he's so cute he's not at that age yet where they don't understand they are fictional characters.  I thought to myself  "Um yes he does cause we don't lie to our kids and say yes there really is an Easter Bunny Wiggles and Monkey."  Once I quietly explained to Monkey that it was Mr.Flowers he was okay but still very hesitant.  I was able to get him to walk with Wiggles.
Monkey wasn't the only one not sure of this Bunny.

Here is the backside of Wiggles and Monkey getting their eggs from the Easter Bunny and his assistants. Wonder what was in those eggs?  See the pic below.
An Easter Bunny and a cross.

Monkey was okay with it after he opened his egg.  And he was happy about it.  Wiggles loved her egg too.  She got a purple one with a purple cross and a purple bunny.  Purple is her favorite color these days. :)

Career Day at School

At Wiggles school each month they have a "spirit" day where the kids get to dress up in order not to wear their uniform for the day.  This is otherwise known as free dress day.  Well I guess they (being the school) wanted the kids to get in the spirit of things.  So this last month if they were to have 'free dress' they had to dress as what they wanted to be when they grow up.  When I asked Wiggles what she wanted to be she said a 'Mom' which I loved but thought how do you dress up like that and do they think that's a career.  Stumped on what to do I asked again. This time she said a Captain of a ship.  Great but again I didn't want her wearing a new dress she recently got because I thought it was too nice to get dirty at school.  So again I asked and we came up with a doctor for kids.  Below is her outfit.  Later I came up with how we could have had her dress up as a Mom and if she says next year she wants to be a Mom for career day I will be ready.
Some of her friends dressed up as a Fashion Designer, Smoothie Maker, Rock Star.....  I think Wiggles will make a fine doctor...

Mama can I eat outside!

The days have been long and beautiful lately.  So one day Monkey got the great idea of eating outside.  So as I was making his lunch he asked me Mama can I eat outside?  I thought yeah!  It is that time of year where the days are warmer and it's nice to eat outdoors.  So needless to say I jumped at the chance for us to eat outdoors.

Hey Mom I'm eating here do you have to take pictures....

Good she's not looking I'll just shove this piece in my mouth.... Hope you are all enjoy the spring weather were you live...

Desert Flowers 2010

Once again we went out to the desert to see how the desert flowers were doing this year.  Not so many this year compared to other years.  That's okay we had friends and family out with us this year and we camped somewhere new so all is good.
Here is a picture of father and son looking at and taking a picture of a flower. :)  Monkey sure liked looking at the flowers this year then in years past.
Here is Papa taking a picture of flowers and below Wiggles and Monkey watching along side of him while he is taking more flower shots.
The kids had so much fun watching Papa take pictures.  Mostly they liked just being around him.  They don't get to seem him and Nana much so when they do get to see them they don't want to leave their sides.
Here is Wiggles and Monkey with some of the kids that came out.  This was in the morning.  They all had fun playing in the dirt.
Here is Monkey.  By the end of the day he had so much fun that he just fell asleep.  He was wide awake when we stopped back at camp though.
Here is some of our crew hanging out after a full day of flower exploring.  It was such a great trip.  I hope that more of our friends will come out next year.  Us adults can sit and relax while the kids play together.  They are at that age now where we can do that. Relax....

Wiggles Reads her First Book

This past weekend we managed to get out to the desert to look at some flowers.  While out there Wiggles got into the books in Papa's Motor Home.  She loves to look at books and now loves to read.  While out there she read her first book on her own.  I was so proud of her I made her take a picture with the book, and while she was reading I took a few as well.
Here is Wiggles with the book she read.
Here is Wiggles while reading the book.
I hope Wiggles has the same love of reading that I had as a kid.  I loved to read and loved getting "lost" in the adventure of the book as well.  I still do today when I get a chance to read a book for fun. :)

Putting the kids to work out back.

While we were at our friends house for the birthday party we had the kids go play in the backyard while we waited for the other guests to show and the animals.  It had rained the day before so this is what we found when We went out to check on the kids.

The girls were working and well Monkey was just playing. I mean he was the guy in charge... I mean well look for your self.

Wiggles really enjoyed the work.  She had a blast all day long!!  She took to the Country life real well.
At one point the Birthday Girl went running by with another animal a work.  The girls were digging and the Birthday girl was collecting the the one worm.  So much fun and memories made that day.
Here is the Birthday girl now waiting to blow out the candles!!  Happy Birthday Princess M.
Just had to include these two pictures of Wiggles and Monkey!  They make me smile so much!!

Horses, Goats, Chickens OH MY!!!

DISCLAIMER:  WE DO NOT WANT ANY LIVESTOCK!!!!   WE HAVE NO ROOM AT THIS INN!

Okay now with that said.  Wiggles, Monkey, Daddy and I went out to one of our dear friends for their Daughters Birthday Party.  Now The Birthday party was a My Little Pony theme and their were Ponies to ride along with goats to pet and chickens to chase.  I did not let Monkey and Wiggles know ahead of time that their would be animals at the party because the weather was less then perfect the days ahead and I didn't want to crush them if for some reason the animals couldn't come.  Which just as we got their (we went early) the phone rang and the trailer was stuck in the mud so there was a chance the animals wouldn't make it.  No fear though God helped them out and the trailer was unstuck.  :)

The kids got to ride the ponies which they absolutely enjoyed and Wiggles would like to do again sometime.
Have you ever seen a girls smile this big!
Making sure she's doing what she needs to do.
What about his smile?  Maybe Ranching is in his future.

Loving riding the horse.
Along with the horses were some other animals. There were goats and chickens.  Monkey wasn't into them that much.  Wiggles though she absolutely enjoyed the animals.  As seen below even Daddy got in on it.  I of course was taking pictures so.
When it was time for the animals  to go home Wiggles was more then happy to help with putting them back in their homes.  At one point she was helping collect the chickens and she just grabbed two of them and put them in their carrier.  I was blown a way at how well she was with the animals.

We had so much fun at the birthday party.

Playdates for Monkey

Monkey has lots of friends through Church and our BSF group well most of them are the same kids. :)  Anyways, now that the weather is getting nicer and not so rainy we are having friends over for Monkey to play with while Wiggles is at school.  Last week we had our first playdate of the year.  We had T Man come over and the boys played for hours.  They had so much fun playing together.
The boys played baseball.

Monkey was happy to throw the ball but wasn't quite right in how far to throw it.
They practiced their letters and numbers and shapes with the Chalk. At one point they had some kids watching them while Monkey and T Man played.  The school behind us had recess while the boys were out back.

Lastly they practiced their soccer moves.
Offense and Defense.
All in all they had a wonderful time and we will be doing it again.  Yesterday we had a MOPS meeting and Monkey wanted all his friends to come play at our house after the meeting.  So you will be seeing more entries about playdates with Monkey.
