More Camping Pics

Last day Breakfast anyone?
Some wanted the breakfast later in the morning and some wanted it as a snack.
I love these kids!
They made their own slide down the side of a cliff.  Here's Wiggles going down first. I'm sure she was just trying to show her little buddy the way to go.
Here she goes down the slide.  Notice her hair in the picture, she's going down pretty fast. A day earlier we had a kid basically do a kart wheel down the bottom of the slide since he got so much air at the top.  Don't worry he is fine. Was up and running around in no time.
Down and ready to go again.
Dancing in the other trailer to the Tangled cd.  I surprised E but Wiggles was doing her own thing.
Hanging out before E's family had to go.  Wiggles was calling E sis by the end of the trip.  :)

They make me taller.

So Monkey got a new to him pair of shoes, from one of his buddies.  He loves the shoes and is excited to wear them.  When he first put them on he was so excited he said "Oh I'm so much taller in these shoes!"   He isn't taller but hey if he thinks so Yeah!

A Camping we shall go!!!

For a long time we've talked about going camping with our friends.  Unfortunately it just never happened until NOW!  Yup we finally pulled it together and got a bunch of our friends together and went out to the desert and camped.  It was a short trip but it sure was fun, and I really hope that we will do it again soon.
We've got the 3 musketeers eating their breakfast together.
Playing with the rockets, this was such a great toy for the kids to play with and they took their turns and helped each other.
One other family had a trailer out there. So one trailer was the meal trailer and the other was the snack trailer.
Here's Monkey checking out the goods, hmm what should I have????
We did need some first aid help but not too much. Those pesky cactus' .  All were very brave when the stickers had to come out. Some even took them out themselves. As seen from the above picture.
What would a camp out be with out the s'mores? Well it wouldn't be a camp out.
Many of the kids waiting or eating a s'more.
What happens when you ask a kid what are you eating?  You get to see it first hand. :)
There's Wiggles eating her s'more.
Good Times!!!!

Nani Comes for a visit.

Nani came for a visit this month.  She was down for a conference and then spent one day with just Monkey which he loved.  He loved having Nani to himself not having to share her with Wiggles.  Well at least until Wiggles got home from school but to him that was the whole day.
Nani and Monkey putting together the new lego set he got.
Nani and Monkey :)
Reading with Nani
Everyone had a great visit with Nani. I didn't get pictures of Nani at Wiggles ballet class but I know Wiggles was way excited to have Nani come to ballet.   Another great visit with Nani!

Pancakes?

A friend's family went on a Disney Cruise and she brought us back a little treat.  A Mickey Mouse pancake mold. So the first chance I got I made Mickey Mouse pancakes for the kids.  We are a very Disney family.
The kids loved having Mickey Mouse pancakes and we are so excited to have more options for the kids. :)  Thank You!

Yup it's hot enough for ice cream again!

Wiggles and Monkey after school having ice cream.  The last few days have been gorgeous, and warm.  Every Friday the student store sells Ice Cream.  Be it sunny and warm or cold and rainy, they sell it.  The kids know if it's cold out I'm not buying ice cream.  That is reserved for sunny and warm days.  So here they are with their first Friday ice cream of the season!

What it's Pajama Day???

So Friday was Pajama Day at Preschool, only we didn't know it because we don't have preschool on Thursday.  So we showed up to school dropped off Wiggles in her class. There it was pay a dollar so you can have free dress.  So when we walked in to her classroom on her side of the school you saw all these kids putting dollars, or quarters on their desks.  It was part fundraiser for the animal shelter, though I mentioned to another parent that they should do it as a fundraiser for the school.  The kids were all excited to pay a dollar not to wear their uniforms.  So Wiggles is off with all her friends and I go to take Monkey to his class on the other side of the school. We pass one classroom and I saw a teacher wearing what I thought were pj's and thought wow she's getting away with that huh?  We make it down to Monkey's room and I notice a note attached to the sign in sheet. Don't forget Friday March 11, 2010 is Pajama Day, blah blah blah.  So then I have to explain to Monkey it's Pajama Day, sorry I didn't know.  All the way back to the playground Monkey is going on and on about it being Pajama Day, and he's not wearing his.  He even asked if the school had extra pajama's so he could participate.  I told him no they don't but of course he didn't understand that and even thought it weird they didn't have extras.  So I handed him off to his teacher who apologizes for us not knowing about pj day. That didn't really help the poor kid who was the only one not wearing  pj's.

So what is a Mom to do?  Drive back home quickly (yes I'm sure I broke speed laws) grab his pj's and drive back to school to change him.  Mind you out of the blue Monkey asked to wear his pj's to school this day but I told him he couldn't it wasn't pj day.  Oh the irony....  The secretary even thought it funny when I had to sign in to change him in to his pj's. I told her I didn't realize preschool had a theme day and she mentioned how when they had sent the reminder to the day school about free dress rules they didn't mention the preschool theme funny huh.  Yup totally funny NOT!  So I went and got Monkey out of class and put him in his pj's. He was so happy after he changed.  Totally different kid.  So I'm sure you wondering what he wore for pj's huh.  Well his absolute favorite pj's until he got home that day to find a new pair of LEGO Star War's pj's on his bed. :)  Complete with Darth Vader on them.

Spring is finally here I'd say

Well it looks like Spring is finally here!  Woo Hoo nicer temps more of a reason to get out and do stuff! Here is Monkey climbing on the jungle gym.  He had so much fun and is getting braver now too.
Baseball anyone?  I got Monkey a ball and bat at Walley World.  I had to I felt so bad him using the pink softball bat and ball.  It was cheap so I'm not worried it wont break the bank.  He doesn't have a the mitt but then I think I need to take him to get the right size.
Biking anyone?  Monkey enjoyed riding his bike and is now as I type.  It's a bit small for him now but he doesn't seem to care. He's having a fun time with it and he's getting better at pushing the petals.  :)

Happy Birthday Big M!!

We went to a birthday party last weekend. Well Monkey and I did.  We were all going to go but then Wiggles got sick.  Bummer!  Monkey had a great time playing and celebrating Big M's birthday!
Big M's Mommy always out does herself when she throws a party!  This year was no different!!  Way to go Mama M.
As I said earlier Monkey had a fun time playing at the party.  He loves to climb up the mini rock wall.
Party time!~
I don't know what got into him!  Really. He just sat down in this chair and made this funny face.  I had to take the picture.

Yes, Wiggles you are special!

I'm trying to highlight when our kids do something above the norm.  We've started to use our You are Special plate.  When the kids do something above the norm or it's their Birthday and we are home, we will use the You are Special plate.  This time it was Wiggles turn since she was Student of the Month.  Both kids are special in their own ways, and this is one way we can have them stand out.  Anyways, I asked after their awards ceremony what Wiggles wanted for dinner.  I kinda figured it out ahead of time, but still needed to ask. I wanted to make sure I was right, and either made or got the right meal.  She choose Panda Express Orange Chicken of course! So we went and got dinner and then used the special plate.

Our Wiggles gets Student of the Month!

Student of the Month for February
Wiggles was picked from her class for February to be Student of the month.  We got the letter of her award in January and kept it a secret like we did for Monkey.  She was so surprised when they called her name.  It's not unusual for me to be at chapel, I try to go every week but some weeks I just can't make it.  So Wiggle didn't think anything different when I was there. Plus her friend's Auntie was there so she probably just thought her friend was getting the award for their class.
Wiggles and her friend showing us their awards.
Each month every class chooses someone who has been doing a wonderful job in class.  Even day care gets an award.  Wiggles friend got the award for day care.
All the kids for February's Student of the Month.
Me and our Star Student!  So excited for Wiggles.
