Wiggles had her last day of Kindergarten this month. We were able to join her for her last day as it was a field day and family was invited. Monkey was an honorary Kindergartner for the day. (Monkey will start preschool in Sept and they -the teachers are so excited.)
We had our last Chapel time too. At that Chapel time Wiggles got yet more awards: Improvement on Citizenship; A in spelling for 3 quarters (they started spelling in the 2nd qtr); and for reading 216 books this school year. Wasn't expecting those awards. Pleasantly surprised by them though.
Then we went outside for some fun and games. This game the kids played was fun buy lots of work for Wiggles teacher. The kindergarten class was a bit young for this game. You needed to move (push) the kid out of the seat infront of you and sit down.
Don't worry the kid wasn't hurt he was just fooling around. Wiggles with some of her classmates.
More pictures of Wiggles and her classmates. There were lots of boys in her class this year. Only 6 girls out of 21 kids.
Another picture of Wiggles and a classmate. Below is Wiggles and Monkey.
All year Wiggles would ask for a snow cone after school. Well I always said no because that syrup I thought would stain her clothes (Uniform~ she seemed always wear her white shirt on snow cone day). Well this day I told her she could have some boy was she excited. She had strawberry flavor.
Wiggles teacher reading one last book to the class before taking them out front for pick up.
One last picture with one of her many friends at school. At the beginning of the year Brandon wouldn't talk to me, but by the end he was racing up to me to tell me something that happened during the day. So cute!!!
One last picture of Wiggles with her amazing teacher!

Playdate for Monkey
Monkey had a playdate recently at a new park close to the ocean. This place is amazing and the best part is its next to a library. We are so going back and soon too.
Now while Monkey and his buddies were eating lunch I snapped a picture or two, and this is what came out. Positioning is so important.
No Monkey does not have a mohawk. It's just the bush behind him that is sticking out. Such a cute picture though. :)

Yes Our Kindergartener is on the Honor Roll!
Yes our little Wiggles made the Principal's Honor Roll! We are so proud of our little girl. She worked hard and I made sure she did the work even when she didn't make it in to class because of some cold or disease. Below are pictures of Wiggles getting her metal and of the awards ceremony. It was 2 hours long!! About 1/2 an hour in Monkey kept asking is it over yet. I'm hungry.... Luckily I had some fruit snacks in my purse to stretch him out and yes we'd just had lunch before going. 15 minutes before it was over, Monkey started asking in a not so quite voice is it over yet! I have a picture at the end of what he was doing while the awards was wrapping up.
Here is Wiggles receiving her award.
Here she is with the rest of the 4.0 kids.
Wiggles showing up close her metal.
Monkey bored out of his mind. Waiting for the awards ceremony to be over. 6.17.2010
Awana Graduation
Yes folks it's that time of year again. Awana Graduations, among others. This year though we had two kids who were doing Awana. Monkey finished his first book of Cubbies this year and will be moving on to the second book next fall. Wiggles finished her first book in Sparks and while she wanted to move on to her second book she has to wait until next year. She started a review book but the year ended before she could finish it. We are so proud of our little Cubbie and Sparkie. They did so well learning God's word this year. Amazing what they can do if they put their mind to it.
Wiggles
Monkey
Usually Monkey isn't too shy when we do stuff. But this night I just didn't recognize this kid. He stood beside me most the night. He wouldn't let me out of his sight. Poor kid wouldn't stand with his friends on stage unless I promised to stand right behind him. Yes he kept checking too. We got through the night and then went to a local frozen yogurt shop for a treat. While there we saw some friends there. We join up and the kids had a blast.
Saying Good Bye to Friends
Saying Goodbye to friends is never easy. Especially if your 5 and don't quite know why your friend has to leave. That's what we did on Memorial Weekend. We welcomed home a Marine who was serving over seas for a Year. Then we had to say Goodbye to another Military Family who was being transferred back east. Our little Wiggles was not happy to do this but she went and sat by her friend the entire party not letting her out of her sight. Where ever Wiggles friend went so did Wiggles. I'm praying that they are once again Transferred back here in a short amount of time.
Boy's Day Out
With a new work schedule, Monkey has had some great opportunities to spend some one on one time with Daddy. One recent Friday the two headed off to California Adventures. They got home well after dark and Monkey was plan tuckered out after a full day of adventures with Daddy. He got to ride on sea creatures, hang out with Woody, and then go see him again at the Lego Store. What a fun and complete day they had together.
