New Years Eve

We've talked about going to Pasadena to stay on the street New Year's Eve, and to go look at the floats before the big parade.  So this year for New Year's Eve we drove to Pasadena (no small task)  to look at the floats before the big parade.  I still think the kids are too young for an all niter on the parade route.  One of these days we will do that and your all invited to join us. Even you East Coasters!!!(hint hint)

We were able to see hubby's college float being worked on which was a bonus for us.  We had to wait in line but it moved fast.   Then we were able to see some floats being worked on.

I'm sure in the case of the following picture OSHA was not contacted nor would they approve.  These College students were taking off the cross bars(which stabilized the scaffolding) and move them to the other side.  One kid was not keen on this and you could tell by the ashen look on his face.

When we were done looking at all the floats we stopped in the park to enjoy an impromptu picnic with local fair.  Loved the time with just the four of us.  The kids loved looking at the floats and being able to run free for a while.
