FIRE ANTS!!!!!!

Okay so probably not quite what you were thinking huh.  Monkey is in soccer this year and just like last year I'm a sucker when it comes to a team with no banner.  So last minute I (cough, cough) volunteered to make the banner.  Thanks to the women at Joann's I didn't use that seen on TV glue like I did last year.  Heat Bond was used and OH life was much much easier!  Why no one told me of this stuff last year I don't know why.  Anyways, I loved the team color and we came up with a great name.  Fire Ants; team color Red!!!  Below this year's banner:

 I know not the whole banner up and finished but I can't seem to find the finished product. This however is close enough to the finished product.  Unfortunately I wasn't able to enter it in the banner contest.  That same weekend we had a birthday party and while we were going to divided and conquer.  It turned out that two were sick and I ended up taking a little girl to the party and forgoing the regional picnic.  Oh well, dare I say maybe next year? Gulp!

Wiggle's is in Ballet!

That's right folks Wiggles is now in Ballet!  She is absolutely loving it too!  She will be performing in the near future too in the Nutcracker!  Can't wait to see her perform.  She just loves to perform things too. From piano to dance you name it and she wants to do it!  We are so proud of our little social butterfly!

AWANA 2010/2011

Wiggles First Day of 1st Grade

Doesn't the title remind you of a Veggie Tales song.....
So Monkey started school a week before Wiggles.  So now it was Wiggles first day of school....  She was so ready too.  She knew the drill what we had to wear, and confident in all she did and saw as we went to school.

1st day of First Grade!  Typical snazzy school uniform.  But check out those shoes HOT PINK converse.  She got them from her Auntie Glitterbug, who is a shoe gal and is slowly bringing Wiggles over to that side too.  She still wears them every chance she gets too.  They aren't as bright but we can still pick her out in a crowd.

You might wonder what we did?

So while Monkey was at school for the first time what Wiggles and I did.  After all we had 4 free hours to do what ever we wanted.  Well Wiggles made  the choices and I just followed behind to pay and protect if needed.
First things first we all need a good breakfast right!  So I took Wiggles to her favorite breakfast place: IHOP....

Then it was time to practice riding our bike.  Training wheels lifted up so she could practice riding with out depending on the trainers.  

Just a little stop to say hi as she whizzed on by.  Wiggles had so much fun playing and not having to share Mama.  

Monkey's First Day of Preschool!

Well what a bitter sweet day this was for Mama.  Here goes her youngest child off to preschool.  Sniff Sniff.  My little buddy for the last 4 years has now grown up enough to go to preschool 3 days a week!  Oh what will I do with my mornings.  The thought of resting, doing crafts, just having some me time has never happened unless I'm sick and even then I'm working on something for school or some other volunteer project.  Maybe one of these days.  I'm digressing sorry.

Monkey's First Day of Preschool:

Starting the day off with a great breakfast .  We should all do this.  Monkey is getting bigger now that soon he will no longer need to use his at home booster seat.

Monkey was so ready for school and his independence.  He didn't even bat an eyelash when he said okay BYE MOM!!!  He ran off with out even a hug or a kiss.  Thanks to his teacher though Monkey did say bye.  I was able to take a quick picture before being  told to leave not from the teacher of course but from my own son.  Sniff Sniff.  He is doing so well in preschool, I'm wondering why we didn't put Wiggles here too.  I guess different needs for different kids.  It's all good though!  Everyone is happy, and that's what counts.

Happy Birthday To You; Happy Birthday To You; Happy Birthday Dear Wiggles; Happy Birthday To YOU!!!!  Happy Birthday to our wonderful Wiggly Wiggles!!  I pray that this year will be more fun for you then last year!


 I can't believe it has been six years!!!  Seriously 6.  It feels like just yesterday we were bringing her home from the hospital.  A wreck of nerves, and thoughts such as "Really they are letting us taker her home?"  "Now what do we do?" "She's still crying I can't get her to stop; what do I do NOW?"  "WAA  I'll just cry too!" We went from this:

Where did the time fly?  I remember thinking wow this day was a long day, now I think wow the day went so fast.  I miss the days of having her at home where we'd finger paint and play on the slide.  Where I'd hold you in my arms and snuggle with you.

If I can wish for you I'd wish for an amazing year of fun and excitement, and a time of learning new fun things. I pray that God will keep you safe and that he'd give you these wishes above.  Always remember Wiggles you can do all things especially when you do them with God by your side!!!
